We’re students trying to help Etsy sellers find out what actually sells.

We’re Rishit and Andrew, two Olin engineering students building Freshen for our entrepreneurship capstone. Andrew runs ADesignsDenver on Etsy and found it overwhelming to improve his listings scientifically or know whether his changes actually helped.

We’re exploring whether small, measured experiments could make that easier. We’d love your help through a short interview and prototype walkthrough, or beta testing when it’s ready.

Small changes, tested on your own listings.

Across dozens of Etsy seller interviews, we heard a common need: a simpler process that keeps sellers in control. Our idea for Freshen: approve a small change, compare results, and decide what to keep.

  1. 1

    Find a listing worth testing

  2. 2

Suggest one small change, like a clearer title

  3. 3 you

You decide whether to try it

  4. 4

Compare before and after, then keep or undo

If you sell on Etsy, we’d love your help.

  • A short interview + walkthrough

Tell us how you work on your listings, then walk through the prototype with us. No preparation needed.

  • Beta testing

When it’s ready, try Freshen on a handful of listings and tell us what works and what doesn’t.

Count me in.

Leave your email and we’ll get in touch about taking part.

Questions

Who are you?

We’re Rishit and Andrew, two engineering students at Olin College of Engineering, near Boston. Freshen is our entrepreneurship capstone, where the goal is to find a real problem, build something for it, and test it with real people.

What happens after the class?

If it turns out to help sellers, we may keep building it, and the sellers who helped us would hear about it first. You’d never be charged for anything without agreeing to it.

What would a chat be like?

A short video or phone call. We’ll ask how you work on your listings and walk through the prototype together to hear what you think. You don’t need to prepare anything.

Are you part of Etsy?

No. We’re independent students and aren’t affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy.
